Drawing

From blank page to a route you can follow.

The method

Every route starts as a single line with two decisions: where you are, and where you'd rather be.

The steps

1 find your two points
2 trace the path of least resistance
3 break it into legs
4 note water, shelter, bail-outs
5 ink it, then walk it

The secret

A good route looks obvious after you've drawn it. The drawing is what makes it obvious.
